I woke up this morning in the Room of Shame.

I chose the shoe that was trouble last time.

I knew it wasn’t right, but I thought I’d give them one last chance. I didn’t want to let their lousy reputation put me off.

But now here I am in my half made bed, panda eyed and wearing half of my outfit from last night. I can still see an incriminating plate where my flatmates home-made love-quiche has been mauled and smeared with tomato ketchup.

You should always trust your instincts.

I could blame the excessive intake of alcohol, but there are too many press days and I can’t, not drink at these. And my alter ego Diana can’t take all the responsibility from last night either.

A wise friend of mine told me this morning that I should learn from my mistakes.

I will.

As hard as it may be, I have to stop this abusive relationship.

Every season there is suffering.
The suffering comes from an unavoidable problem.
It's a problem that affects 2 out of 3 people within the fashion industry.

It's a global problem, and unfortunately this problem is often left undiagnosed.

This problem is called P.F.W.D.

Many suffer from this condition alone, without receiving the proper care they need to overcome this condition.

I too have suffered from P.F.W.D. and I am here to show how I overcame this.

Re-watching the two best shows of London Fashion Week, Ziad Ghanem and KTZ.

It may never come close to the amazing high received from watching the real shows, but I'm hoping I can save some lives through this.

Even poor quality images from a phone can offer some aid to the suffering....

Two girls, a Penthouse and Popcorn (Bryce Aime SS12 presentation)

Gliding through the entrance of the Mayfair hotel on their amazingly gorgeous shoes, two girls gently removed their coats before stepping into the worlds smallest elevator.

When the elevator doors opened, they were lead through the suite by the sounds of Isaac Smile. Resisting the urge to dance like mad women, (Their shoes were only made for gliding) the two girls concentrated on the important things about this night. No3 gin and tonics and the never ending supply of caramel popcorn.... (and of course the clothing)

As they relaxed into the couches, they watched as three models came out individually for a live photoshoot in the bedroom.

Bryce Aime's play with silhouette and geometric structure was visible, the two girls were not disappointed. In fact they were so happy they decided to eat more caramel popcorn to commemorate this.

Boxy shapes in muted colours exaggerated the natural shapes of the models making them look almost robotic.

So Beautiful.

After the models retreated to have their hair and make-up removed, the two heroines continued to honour the beautiful clothing by gracefully shoving more popcorn into their mouths and discreetly moving to the music.
It then got to a point where they had to accept their fate and go home- they would definitely need their beauty sleep for tomorrow.

As much as they would love stay a while longer and wear extra dark shades on day 3 of fashion week...

...were not made to be worn by tired feet, especially on the cobblestone ground of Somerset house.

Without further ado hey picked up their goody bags and made their way out of the Bryce Aime party. Once they were out of sight and were sure no-one they new would see them, the tactful two removed their heels and replaced them with some comfy flats.

Day Two..

After testing the capabilities of my liver Friday night, I was secretly impressed with myself for waking up on Saturday in time see my first show.
(There is no such thing as a hangover with the copious amounts of vitamin water around.)

Silhouettes referencing the fun and elegance from the 20's mixed with exotic bright colours...

Add some geometric shapes and some tailoring..

And you have Spijkers en Spijkers SS12.

To make matters better, the beautiful dutch duo showed their SS12 collection within the stunning Il Bottaccio building on Grosvenor Place.

Definitely a great start to my day and well worth getting out of bed.

I celebrated with my complementary croissant, and vitamin water all the way back to Somerset House...

A series of unfortunate events

At times the world can seem and unfriendly and sinister place.

Leaving work at a reasonable time I felt like my meticulous planning for Day 1 of Fashion Week had payed off. Then the unexpected happened.

On-route to Bernard Chandran, I suffered a shoe disaster.
Try as I may to race home and back in time, it was not meant to be.

I then decided to register at somerset house before going to the 4 o'clock screening of Ada's On-Schedule show..
One delayed train and a massive queue at the registration office later and I'd missed it.
Which in turn meant I would have to go the the 5.30 screening and miss "The Ones To Watch" show...

Sigh, welcome to London Fashion Week!

Fortunately things weren't all bad..
Sitting in the cosy cinema of Sommerset House watching the latest Ada Zanditon film Posiesus, directed by Andrew and William Ho made me forget about everything outside.

Soft rippled movement of printed chiffon over the background of iconic London led to the music by Sebastian Barz.

I can't begin to describe the goosebumps I felt while watching it.

From that point things improved. I managed to make it on time for the next show, an exhibition, before also making it to the after party still in time to enjoy Sebastian's amazing skills on the decks.
A few cocktails later and I was off to a good start!

Fashion-Week Eve.

Twas the night before fashion week, when all through London town
Not a creature was stirring, not even the renown
The sewing machines were moving, designers preparing
In hopes that the press would not be uncaring.

The models were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of catwalks danced in their heads.
Ada was eating some chips for dinner,
tomorrow she'll show, and be a winner.

When out from the kitchen there arose a large crash
Into the room Ada and Alice ran like a flash.
I had caused a fall of the vitamin water,
trying to hydrate before the coming weeks brain slaughter.

So prepare your pout and over-sized shades
Happy Fashion week to all, and remember no brocades!

Once upon a Vogues Fashion Night Out, there were four Londoners.

And one monkey.

Dawn to the allure of a night combining fun, fashion and free stuff, they decided to conduct a treasure hunt.

Weaving through the crowd on Conduit and Carnaby street they explored the spoils of The LCF pop-up store, Vivienne Westwood, Oliver Sweeney and Nicole Fahri.

They then made a hasty decision to hit up New Bond Street for all it may offer.

It was looking promising......

.... Until Jimmy Choo where they came to discover the concept of queuing.

Impatient and greedy for the instant satisfaction they had come to know and like, they moved further towards the flashing cameras in front of Coach.

They were just in time to catch a glimpse of David Gandy.

This was nice, but it wouldn't satisfy their hunger.

As they continued their journey, they started to notice the alcohol and canapes were in shorter supply....

It was true they had been photographed, fed, boozed and entertained, but it all happened too quickly (and there was still no sight of any goody bags!)

Drunk and slightly disappointed they decided that it was best to focus on the fun they had had during the night and head to an after party.

And they celebrated happily ever after! Happy Vogue Fashion Night Out!

There are always going to be times when we see things we regret seeing.

Over the weekend I added one more thing to this ever growing list...

Advertised as conceptual fashion show and art exhibition myself and two other innocent, but open minded civilians, decided to sacrifice our Saturday plans and head down to this event.

The result...

(Just be thankful my Blackberry doesn't have a good camera.)

Images of fluoro MC Hammer trousers and beige knit were etched into our minds.

What had been seen could not be unseen.

While the others tried their best to erase the memories with alcohol, I shakily returned home to find some salvation on the internet.

And there, it came to me like an angel.

The AW 2011 Campaign from Lanvin.

It's like porn for the adolescent boy.

It's Pure joy.

After watching it I instantly felt better, my colour returned to normal and I was no longer in foetal position, gently rocking backward and forth.

Unfortunately we can't prepare for some things our eyes are subjected to, but rather than reaching for the acid, remember this video!

After a hectic week of minimal sleep, both Christin and I decided it would be a nice idea to have an early night to prepare for the busy day of shooting the next day. Just as we were drifting off to sleep, in bursts an excited Ada Zanditon. At that moment, I could have killed her. Luckily she was showing us a picture of Jameela Jamil wearing the Frozen Waterfall dress from Ada's Autumn/Winter 2011 collection.

It was well worth opening our eyes to see.

I have a not-so-secret love for this dress. No joke, if it were a person I would be forcing a ring on its finger.

When you see a celebrity dressing as beautiful as this you have to encourage it.

Thankfully there was a system next to the image where we were able to vote it accordingly (both "do" and "in love" ).

We think that for the good of the publics eyes you should vote too.

Imagine a world where the celebrities would dress like Katie Price.

Yep. It pains us to look at it too. Just think of the poor children's eyes and vote now!!

Shiny Disco Balls...

Some time ago, there was a place...

A place called the W Hotel.

And in this place, there was a party...

A party called Wyld Wednesday.

This sounding like a great place to spend a Wednesday night, three naive East Londoners left their safe haven and made the journey to a far, far away land called Soho....

From the moment they walked of out the elevator doors of the W Hotel on this Wyld Wednesday, the three were blinded by the overwhelming light reflecting from the many disco balls. Never had they seen so many in one place!

They were happy with their decision!!!

Unfortunately blinded by the overwhelming disco-tastic decor, these innocent minds made a crucial mistake.

They followed the natural instinct and made for the watering hole. They had not yet learned how to behave in an inner city bar and did not quite understand the meaning of Guest lists..

One vodka later and they had already spent all their hard earned savings and were left with a feeling like being punched in the gut.

Surely the bar staff should be wearing balaclavas? Maybe this was how they were able to afford such a monstrous amount of disco balls...

Luckily this feeling faded as they slowly (very slowly) sipped their solitary drink and watched the very fashionable yet contrasting patrons. Half of the crowd was in club kid uniform, the rest wearing inner city clubbing outfits (heals, dresses, suits and collars). Everyone looked as good as the venue.

Once every last drop of the valuable liquid had been drained from the three protagonists glasses they decided it was time for a decision.

Either they had to pawn their amazingly gorgeous shoes for another drink...

.... or they could sell the older one of the three, to a member of the more wealthier clientele of the night (He was the prettier one.)

After much debate they remembered that the 25 bus went from just around the corner of the hotel and so without further discussion all three of them ran all the way home.

He is a man of many morals. An international man of mystery.

Even his own nationality is constantly questioned- is he Danish? French? Swedish? Spanish?

(for the record he is Spanish).

We guess he is anything you want him to be....

He is an artist...

An East London Hipster...

An Animal Lover...

Sex Kitten..

He is also brave and fearless in the face of danger...

(But just for the record, he is a terrible singer. Fortunately, his dancing definitely makes up for this)

Of course any attempt to categorize him is just setting yourself up for disaster.

Mostly we just think he is beautiful. In an almost divine way.

And he always knows how to get what he wants...

So this post, although was intended to show something we have been inspired by over the weekend, ended up with a brief write up on a person who inspires us everyday. We are committed to follow the church of Jesús Selma Laronze.

Débutantes.

So we have been talking about writing a blog for a long, long, long, long time now, but mostly it has just been talk. We had even gone to the trouble of having "ideas meetings" which were just an excuse to sit in Hurwundeki cafe all day and chat about the important things in life, like whether to get a latte or flat white.

Anywho, we have finally bitten that blogging bullet and because this is our debut post, we decided to write about another fellow debutante and friend Michael Ostromooukhov!

The lovely Michael Ostromooukhov...

...is a painter who has just had his first exhibition in London at Off Broadway.

As is crucial to every exhibition, there is an opening party which made our Friday night hotter than satans' cove.

Guests clearly inspired by the vibrant and interesting work, were creating performance art during the night, worshiping the 5 god-like DJ's through sacred dance and drinking holy water.

Although the performances at the opening were exclusively one night only, some of Michaels work is still remaining on the walls for a while longer at Off Broadway for your viewing pleasure.
